About

"A Native American bead artist I had the privilege of meeting once described her work in this way: The beads tell a story. The story of the person who wears them, and the story of the person who made them. My memories become a part of the work….the conversations I had. I remember them all. I can look at this part of the design, and remember how I was feeling, who I was thinking about at that time. And you, because you’re here, and have watched me work, will become a part of it too."

"For some reason, I like the small and ugly or strange things. Take, for instance, fish. The uglier and stranger, the more fascinating and beautiful. But that seems kind of dark, doesn't it?"

"Maybe that's the same thing God thinks when he looks at all of us."
